  With all the WT's eschatology and prophetic interpretation, why is there no mention of Islam?

  you'd think that the third major abrahamic religion would be of interest to the witnesses and their fanciful interpretation of just about anything written in the bible, especially with the white-hot relevance islam has in current affairs and the middle east.

  not only that, islam had a huge influence on european history, with conquering armies and direct control over jehovah's supposed holy city of jerusalem.. american christian fundamentalists trip over themselves trying to connect all the dots in scripture so why hasn't the watchtower society?

  Do you remember the 15 minute break at the Sun. meeting?

  a poster on another thread reminded me of when there was a 15 min.

  break between the talk and the wt study on sundays.

  the break was supposed to be to allow jw's time to drive their bible studys home from the talk.

  Yes.

  The Public Talk was 60 minutes long, then there was a 15-minute break, then the rag study was another 60 minutes. Add to that the 3 songs, the 2 lengthy prayers and the underwhelming announcements and you've pretty much kissed your football Sunday good-bye...

  i think that many of them were saints.

  some were bitches and others seemed like they hated their status.

  many wives were very good examples and were more "qualified" than their elder husbands.. .

  Some elders' wives I knew were quite "Spiritual(R)", but most were extreme gossipers who spewed out confidential information from Shepherding Calls with relentess shamelessness...

  has anybody heard an official reason that the trinity brochure is deceased?.

  the gb have been released basically new versions of old brochures with wild abandon, and yet the trinity brochure which has absolutely no equivalent is no longer in print.. why?.

  we all know there were dodgy references/quotations therein, but you would think by now the gb would have put some effort into a viable replacement if it were posssible.. nobody seems to be making too much of this as far as i can see.. the trinity brochure was very naughty.

  Because over 90% of the quotes were taken out of context and over 75% of the content is completely false.

  By the way, this brochure was made just before the internet boom. It was their last chance to pull non-sense out out their asses....
